James Meier, P.E.
Vice President, Permian Gas & Power Infrastructure, Pioneer Natural Resources
James Meier joined Pioneer Natural Resources in 2002 and is currently VP of Permian Gas and Power Infrastructure. In this role, Meier leads Pioneer's effort to ensure gas is fully captured, gathered, processed, and marketed from the Permian Basin. This includes managing relationships with two processing partners in which Pioneer is a minority owner. Meier also leads Pioneer's power infrastructure team that builds and maintains electrical distribution systems for Pioneer's Permian Basin facilities. He previously held various leadership positions in Pioneer's gas processing and facilities engineering teams. He received his bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University in 1998. He worked for ARCO and Grimm Engineering, Inc. prior to joining Pioneer. He currently serves on the board of directors for GPA Midstream Association as well as the vice-chair of the GPA Midstream Technical Committee. He is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas.
